林志崧建築師事務所成立於1998年，草創期間，基於對建築的熱情、對永續環境的使命感，以參與公共工程競圖為主要業務，並致力於參與偏遠地區的小型文化設施與救災設施建築為主，足跡更是遍及全國有臺東綠島、花蓮玉里、宜蘭頭城、淡水、臺南南科與臺北市等地區。
2001年設計規劃「臺北國際藝術村」後，燃起了對閒置空間再利用與永續環境議題的熱情與投入。
2002年，以「臺北國際藝術村」獲得第一屆臺北城都市設計景觀大獎優選獎。
2003年，此案再獲得「2003都市變臉」完工工程類公共環境設計獎。
2012年，以「日新國小紅樓整修復舊再利用」獲得臺北市老屋新生大獎特別獎。
2017年，以「北投瀧乃湯浴室」獲得「臺北市政府2017老屋新生大獎」銀牌獎。
2002年起事務所開始涉及室內設計業務，2007年起事務所逐漸轉型為以民間個人住宅、集合住宅、廠辦、旅館、社福設施等業務為主的設計事務所。同時，以垂直整合的理念從都市設計、建築設計、室內設計、景觀設計到營建管理等整合執行業務，落實整體設計與執行的觀念。近年來，事務所積極與非營利組織的財團法人合作，從事公共建築設計方案。
2011年規劃設計「臺北市日新國小紅樓復舊整修再利用與仕招樓演藝廳」，由財團法人旺台環境文化基金會出資，完工後無償捐贈臺北市政府。2012年規劃設計「花蓮黎明喜樂園」，由財團法人台灣基督教門諾會花蓮黎明機構出資與募款，第一期工程預計2019年10月開工。本案籌設許可計劃容納200床身心障礙者，主要服務的對象為自閉肯納者、失智者、失能者與身體有障礙者等社會弱勢族群，是以自然環境療養方式建構的社會福利設施園區。2017年規劃設計「臺北市日新國小旺台樓演藝廳」，由財團法人旺台環境文化基金會出資興建一棟複合性建築物，為學童、年輕學子、與社區提供一座游泳池運動設施、藝能專科教室與二間優質的演藝空間，於2019年2月開工，預計2020年10月完工。
2010年主持建築師林志崧自交通大學EMBA 畢業後，開始關注臺灣產業建築的發展，2012年起陸續完工「新竹弘塑科技企業總部」、「林口守成咖啡倉儲場」、「臺北飛龍照明企業總部」，目前正進行中案件為樓地板面積約70000平米的半導體廠辦，「頎邦科技新竹光復廠辦」，於2019年6月開工。
近年來，事務所建築設計與室內設計業務趨於多元性，包括療養院、觀光旅館、日照中心、藝文中心、集合住宅、私人自宅、診所，工程地點遍及各縣市，包括臺北市、花蓮、宜蘭、基隆、新北市、新竹縣市與臺中，團隊藉由不同項目的業務內容，不斷精進團隊的合作默契，也藉由不同業務內容，訓練團隊的設計與整合能力。
事務所以垂直整合的模式所累積的經驗，建立事務所團隊同仁對建築設計與室內設計懷抱著持續的熱情，階段性調整其工作內容，讓團隊同仁的專業能力持續累積與成長，讓設計專業更有效率、同仁工作過程有更多學習機會與獲得專業的成就感，同時，藉由持續培育優秀的專業人才，再整合回饋到莘莘學子的建築教育。
Established in 1998, J.S. Lin Architects & Associates started from participating in design competitions for public construction projects as its main business, especially the small-scale cultural infrastructures in remote areas, featuring works in Green Island in Taitung, Yuli in Hualien, Magong in Penghu, Toucheng in Yilan, and the Southern Taiwan Science Park in Tainan.
The firm won the First Taipei Urban Landscape Award for its design of “Taipei Artist Village” in 2002 and Special Prize in the Old Building New Life Awards for the restoration project of the Red Building of Rixin Primary School in 2012.
Its founder Jyhe-Song Lin received a master’s degree from the Department of Architecture at Cornell University and has long been dedicating his efforts to the writing and compilation of architectural magazines and journals; he is also editor-in-chief of Taiwan Architect Magazine. He has been actively participating in the evaluation of the urban design projects in Taipei City and Yilan County and keen on public affairs related to architecture.
The firm entered the field of interior design in 2002 and its main business gradually shifted to private residential, office and factory designs after 2005. In the meantime, it vertically integrated urban design, architectural design, interior design and construction management to implement the concept of total design and execution. Recently the firm has been vigorously cooperating with non-profit organizations and undertaking public building projects. The New Dawn Care Farm in Hualien, for example, is a social welfare facility of 200 beds providing nursing and long-term care constructed according to the natural healing approach.
